Managing Director - Jonathan Mulligan
Jonathan Mulligan founded Openplain in 2002 and is co-inventor of its core technology.
Prior to Openplain, Jonathan spent almost a decade with Baltimore Technologies designing
and implementing distributed enterprise software solutions for clients such as the
Irish Revenue, Nokia and the Australian Department of Defence. He has also consulted
for many government bodies including personally instructing An Taoiseach Bertie
Ahern and President Bill Clinton on e-security matters.
Jonathan is a frequent speaker on technology, e-commerce, e-business and the software
industry in general and has written numerous articles for national and international
publications. He also regularly consults with early-stage technology companies in
the area of product development and positioning.
Jonathan received a first-class honours degree in Computer Science from Dublin City
University, a Masters of Science from the School of Mathematics, Trinity College
Dublin and a Post Graduate Diploma in New Business Development from the Dublin Institute
of Technology.

Technical Director - Damien O'Brien
Damien O’Brien has twelve years industry experience developing mission critical
software solutions for enterprise, financial and government bodies. Damien regularly
speaks at conferences and events on a wide range of IT security related topics.
Prior to joining Openplain, Damien held several key positions in Baltimore Technologies.
He was product architect and team lead for Baltimore’s flagship product UniCERT,
which in 2001 had revenue in excess of $40 million. He also held a key position
in Baltimore’s R&D department where he advised senior management on new product
development and industry direction.
Damien holds a BEng (Hons) in Communications Systems Engineering.

Global Services Manager - Kate Morton
Kate Morton is the head of global services for Openplain. Kate is responsible for
developing the company's service offerings, managing the operation of Openplain's
customer support department as well as initiating and managing global partner relations.
Kate has extensive experience in customer relations, project and product management
having occupied senior roles in the Engineering, Product Management and Sales Operations
department at Baltimore Technologies. Prior to Baltimore Technologies, Kate gained
valuable customer relations experience working as an onsite software trainer and
managing a number of strategic projects which were key to developing a presence
in the rapidly growing Japanese market.
Kate holds an honours degree in languages and computing from the University of Limerick,
a diploma in conflict resolution and has a number of qualifications in sales and
marketing principles.
